The first track from the new LP by The Rrreverberationsss, who have been getting some attention lately from the likes of Julian Cope and WFMU. There’s some excellent clangin’ around here, as numerous guitars fill out a nice little psych ditty that gives me a New Zealand vibe.

A new track from Grass Widow that starts off pretty proggy and electro and turns into a nice rocker — new LP out soon. It’s tagged with the name Phil Manley, that could be a Trans Am production influence I assume?

I’m excited for the new Mouse on Mars LP since they are returning to the old Warp/IDM sound I love so much. Even the new video has that Aphex-y dance number kind of thing happening.
Disappears sounds like psychedelic Sonic Youth mashed up with Mark E. Smith (Happy Birthday!) — basically one of the best pairings anyone could ever ask for.
Stumbled across this duo Big Deal randomly — while these kids probably look a little too hip for their own good (and too British) I can get with the sound: strummy fuzzy acoustic/electric with dual girl/boy vocals and nice harmonies.
Not as annoying as Moldy Peaches, more of a Raveonettes/SY vibe.

The first video from the new solo LP by Lee Ranaldo — rumor has it his backing band features an old friend of mine Alan Licht. Sonic Youth solo projects seem to be the focus as of now since the group’s future is “questionable” following the Thurston/Kim divorce.
