Indies Turn Down Hummer

This recent piece in an Austin newspaper has some interesting details on several indie bands that have been turning down major amounts of dough from Hummer and other Earth-destroying companies (pictured is DC’s own Trans Am).
Its a tough call, and I must say personally as a musician it would be very hard for me to turn down such lucrative deals. No matter what its nice to see that these groups made proper decisions about selling their music when its already so hard to make ends meet as independents.
